Public lecture: Buddhist meditation

On Sunday 25th November 2018, the London Diamond Way Buddhist centre is pleased to invite you to a public lecture. The topic will be “Buddhist meditation” and the talk will be given by Anna Briscoe, lay Buddhist teacher from Russia, currently living in Czech Republic.

Meditation is a method to gain distance to impermanent phenomena such as feelings and thoughts. Buddhism teaches about permanent values inherent in mind, such as fearlessness, joy and compassion. Meditation allows us to not only intellectually understand these qualities, but also to experience them. Observing everything coming and going in our mind gives us the space to finally recognize the observer of everything — the true nature of mind. This talk addresses the main methods of meditation within Diamond Way Buddhism.
